The objective of the Workshop is to discuss problems and suggest solutions for new projects and initiatives for the library and information technologies, professional collaboration, business and legal issues in relation to international cooperation. The emphasis is made on the changes in the political climate as Russia and the US embark on a new level of cooperation and understanding.

The International Workshop "Digital Resources and International Information Exchange: East-West" will take place for the fifth time. It has become a popular professional event in the U.S. library and information community. This year the Workshop is divided into three sessions held in three different locations on the East Coast. Participants can register for one, two or three sessions of their choice at discounted rates (see the Registration Form).

CALL FOR PAPERS
The Organizing Committee seeks original research and application oriented papers, not previously presented elsewhere, which are relevant to the sessions topics. You are invited to submit an abstract and full text of your paper for consideration by the Program Committee via e-mail. The following guidelines should be observed in the preparation and submission of papers:
1. The deadline for abstracts submission is February 15, 2002.
2. The abstract should be a precis of your paper and should not exceed 0.5 Letter size (A4) pages in length.
3. Anticipated length of a paper should not exceed 6 Letter size (A4) pages.
4. Please send your papers for consideration by the Program Committee to iliac@iliac.org.

The Workshop Program will be available on the International Library, Information and Analytical Center (ILIAC) Web site (www.iliac.org) starting mid-February, 2002.

The registration fee for Session 1 attendance is 90 USD.
Participants in two or more previous workshops will be registered at a 30% discount. Students will be registered at a 50% discount.
No registration fees apply to Sessions 2 and 3.
