Abstract. This electronic version of the fundamental three-volume legal encyclopedia was prepared by a large team of highly qualified scientists and practicians. It consists of nearly 3 thousand entries on all basic notions of the Russian and international law and the description of legal systems of the industrially developed countries of the world. This encyclopedia offers unique opportunities for working with legal information: fast retrieval by any word or phrase and direct reference to the texts of enactments referenced in the encyclopedia’s entries. The readership includes lawyers, students of legal and economic schools, staff of state-budgeted organizations, staff of courts and law-enforcement offices, and general public keen on legal issues.
