Abstract. This special-purpose system contains legal, normative, methodological, and reference information on librarianship and the activity of libraries as business entities. The system includes:

legal regulations of library activity – enactments of international, federal, and regional legislations;

1. foreign library legislation – enactments of the CIS and other foreign countries;
2. standards, norms, and rules for library routines (cataloguing, storing, etc.) and the activity of fire prevention, sanitation, construction, and other inspection bodies;
3. normative, methodological, administrative, and other documents for establishing public legal information centers in libraries.
4. The readership includes librarians, lawyers, economists, accountants, and the staff of schools and universities in the field of librarianship and publishing.
