The Cyril and Methodius Encyclopedia of Etiquette 1997 Abstract. How to create an image of a prosperous businessman, to meet a guest (a foreigner), to behave correctly at a business meeting or a party, to eat apples and oysters--the answers to these and thousand other questions are in the Encyclopedia of Etiquette, a multimedia edition of the Cyril and Methodius company. This edition dwells on the daily etiquette, traditions, holidays, and rites that underlie the today’s rules of behavior. Data on business etiquette and cuisine in various countries are supplemented with the sections describing the history of etiquette in the classic lands (Ancient Greece and Rome), Western Europe and Russia, and countries of the eastern Asia (China, Japan, and Korea). The encyclopedia is a set of over 700 detail articles, over 400 original illustrations, and a 20-minutes video-film. The most inquisitive readers may turn to educational tours on specific subjects. The encyclopedia is equipped with a ramified retrieval system that allows placing bookmarks in the articles for subsequent reference and retrieval in the alphabetic and subject indices, by keyword in the reference sections, and by the type of media illustrations.
