The Cyril and Methodius Encyclopedia of Pets 1999

Abstract. This original two-disk multimedia encyclopedia is devoted to pets-dogs, cats, birds, aquatic fishes, monkeys, rodents, and even terrarium residents. It gives all necessary information on the keeping and care of pets. It covers the origin and the pedigrees of dogs and cats, rules for their keeping, rules for food selection and feeding, feeding rules at different ages, and information on veterinary services. It includes a special chapter on training and gives ads of dog and cat clubs and exhibitions, addresses and phone numbers of pet shops and veterinary services.

In the chapter Birds, the most favorite will be pages about parrots. They show types of cages and explain how to choose a cage and arrange it, how to select birdseeds for, say, a cockatoo, and how to teach birds to sing melodies and even spell out words and phrases.

The well-known tamers, aquarians, veterinaries, trainers, and highly skilled editors took part in the preparation of this remarkable disk.
