Abstract. This atlas is a truly unique information source for those who like tourism and travelling and/or seek additional information on the countries of the world. It contains the most intriguing information on cultural sites, resorts, nature, and traditions of the peoples.

Information in the atlas is assorted by countries, where it is further subdivided into the following chapters: General Information, History, Geography, Climate, Natural Sites, Culture, Towns, Leisure, Hotels, Useful Hints, and Local Currency.

The atlas is equipped with a powerful retrieval system, which allows the reader to filter out information by many parameters. The search window allows searching by word, geography, recreation type, nature, information type, and climate. By entering a word or a word combination into the search line, the user obtains a list of articles with the preset word. Through the Recreation Types section the user obtains a list of places famous for their recreational facilities. The Nature section will help those who prefer to spend their vacation in certain natural environments like mountains, seaside, or waterfalls. The Geography section serves as a filter to help sort out information according to the location of the object. Any information may be represented either as an article, a photo, or video.
