Abstract. The multimedia publication contains the text of the Old and New Testaments presented in two variants. The first one presents canonical texts and another one gives popular account of basic biblical episodes. Each story is accompanied by classical music – over 6 hours of musical works by 37 Russian and foreign composers, among which are Johann Sebastian Bach, Ludwig van Beethoven, Petr Tchaikovsky, and is illustrated by outstanding works in sculpture and painting – from works by Albrecht Durer and Andrei Rublev to Mikhail Vrubel and Gustave Dore paintings, over 600 works by 114 artists altogether. The special chapter focuses on religious feasts and related biblical episodes. The disc also includes maps of ancient Israel and videos of Holy Land – Motherland of Christianity.
