Abstract. A unique publication on the history of world cinematography presents the collection of various data on national and world cinema in the Russian language. The Encylopaedia also includes the Chronology Table of all the major events in the one century history of cinema, indices of Russian and American best-selling, index of Oscar, Felix, Nike, and other prize laureates, dictionary of modern cinematography. Educational tours (series of articles on a special topic) might be of interest to cinema connoisseur. The multimedia disc also includes numerous illustrations – slides, video fragments, and music from popular films.
