Abstract: The paper is devoted to the problems connected with Russian-language electronic publishing in Internet, and to the ways of solving these problems. Main attention is paid to preparation of mathematical texts for electronic journals and using TeX publishing system. The paper is the reduced version of electronic publication submitted for discussion at international meeting El-Pub97 dedicated to electronic publishing. The role of information as a strategic resource stimulates development of new information technologies for acquisition and processing of vast volumes of information, its storing and presenting to the reader.
